This week I paid a visit to Musette, a new store in Soho full of luxury leather handbags and shoes. While Musette may be new to New York, it’s already a well-established brand in Romania. Designed by a team led by Giorgio de Stefano and Gionata Tomassini, Cristhelen B. is the exclusive brand of Musette, and the shoes and bags are on-trend/classic pieces that definitely have a place in your closet. The shoes range from stiletto and stacked-heel snakeskin pumps, tall riding boots made of ostrich, crocodile and lambskin leathers, lace-up oxfords and platform booties, and fun, feminine flats. Bags include everything from structured satchels, large eelskin shoulder bags, pouch-style clutches in lambskin and eelskin, and eye-popping envelope clutches in yummy colors. There are even some ultra-cool accessories like strappy leather bracelets and corset belts. But don’t delay your shopping trip – items are limited. Only a select few items are shipped from Romania to the store so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
